Clearly I completely forgot that it’s August and I have not
put up a single summer related blog post. I thought if I am going to squeeze
one in it should totally be about my new and improved summer makeup routine.
Over the past few months I have completely revamped my everyday makeup routine
to make it incredibly simple and effortless because honestly who wants to wake
up twenty to thirty minutes earlier to get glam. Sleep is precious to me and I
never want to give up a second of it.
Anyway, lets move on to my summer makeup routine! I will be
telling you about my everyday routine as well as my glam-ish routine, which
adds just a few extra steps!
Lets get started!
All of my base makeup stays exactly the same no matter what
I am doing and includes,
Benefit Porefessional Primer
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer over any spots I want to
cover up
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer on top of that if I am needing
extra coverage
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
If I am staying basic I will add
Covergirl Lash Blast Length Mascara (TIP: no joke this
mascara gives you an effortless lash lift/extensions look without paying the
money of a lash lift and just using mascara!)
And set my entire face with my Wet N Wild Photofocus Setting
Spray
If I am getting a little more dressed up I will add
A light wash of eyeshadow to my entire eye, my current go to
has been Luscious from the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
MAC Modern Twist Kajal Eyeliner in my tight line
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara on my top and bottom lashes
Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
Jeffree Star Eclipse Highlighter
And last but not least I set my entire face with my NYX
Matte Finish Setting Spray
I can’t even write about what lippies I wear because it is
changing every single time I do my makeup and will range from lip balm to lip
gloss to a longwearing liquid lipstick.
I also quickly want to let you know why I am no longer
wearing any foundation. I have pretty problematic skin that is extremely
sensitive and every time I put on foundation this year it looked cakey, gross
and just not cute. I did some research and found that not every girl out there
actually wears foundation. My sister along with millions of other people only
wear concealer where they need it and I wanted to try it out. As you can tell I
quickly fell in love with the way my skin was looking and haven’t put on
foundation in months. I realized I don’t need to cake on makeup to make my skin
look flawless. I just simply cover the few pimples I have and call it a day and
am incredibly happy with the way it has been going! Not to mention I don’t have
to pay for foundation anymore and can splurge on concealer if I want!
Anyway! I hope you found this helpful and maybe this post
will encourage you to try out just wearing concealer instead of an entire face
of makeup!
Have a great week and I will see you all next Monday with a
brand new post!
